I just couldn’t put it down, I was so immersed into it that one minute it was daytime and the next thing I know, it’s just about 9 pm time just few by and I just had to rest my eyes but only for a bit, I had to reach the end of the story. It did tear me up knowing that this is happening for real in our world. It is a real problem. Let’s all give Ms. Julia, a round of applause for a good series starter that had me chewing my fingernails.

This 3 book series was fantastic, so well written, had you on the edge of your seat throughout, one minute you think you knew who was to blame, then you think you’re wrong, you really don’t know. It’s not often I get a book that really has me hanging, but this was surely one, I’m almost disappointed it’s ended. This author is certainly one I will look up in the future.

This story had me from the first page to the very last page. I was so sorry to see the story end. I became so engrossed in the story that I had to make myself take time for regular day to day duties. The concept of the story was terrifying. This book is by far the best one I’ve read in a long, long time. The writer did an excellent job keeping the suspense at maximum level. I can’t wait to read more from Julia Derek. Thanks for a job well done !

This book is so gripping. When a missing boy turns up after a few years, things become strained for the family. The author manages to pull you in a few different directions before revealing the truth. Very well written.

Meet Julia Derek
I was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden, but I always knew I was meant to live in America. After a detour to Madrid, Spain, where I lived for nearly two years (I’m fluent in Spanish!), I studied journalism in Washington D.C. Then I moved to Los Angeles, where I did stand-up comedy (I suck lol) and worked as a fitness trainer (better at this). Finally, I moved to NYC in late 2001, when everyone else was leaving after 9/11 (I’m generally a contrarian). I have been writing stories for as long as I can remember.
